Why Join?

Member companies understand that their business is directly affected by the economic health of Lancaster County. Annual member dues support EDC’s mission by helping to fund:

  • Strategies and activities that retain, grow and attract business in Lancaster County
  • Efforts around the key opportunities and challenges facing Lancaster’s economic future, from workforce development and land use to niche industry and economic data analysis
  • The day-to-day operations of economic development that assist companies who are considering an investment in Lancaster County

EDC Members determine which level of membership is appropriate based on their size, industry connection to economic development, and their overall community engagement. EDC member companies are acknowledged in the Annual Report and on EDC’s website; have access to exclusive Sponsorship opportunities and Member-only events; and receive regular updates on EDC’s activities. 2024 Membership Campaign

Local. Business. Community. These three words are at the heart of all that we do, which is why we’ve selected them to represent our 2024 Membership Campaign. The campaign launched at EDC’s Member Briefing event on September 15, 2023, and will conclude on February 6, 2024, at our Annual Meeting. Our goal is to drive $100,000 of new revenue from our Membership program, with funds coming from newly joined Members as well as increased investment from existing Members.

In preparing for our 2024 Membership Campaign, our team took a hard look at EDC’s long-standing Membership program to find ways we could refine the 15-year-old model and better articulate the benefits of becoming a Member. Some of the updates that resulted from this effort include new, simplified Membership tiers; the creation of new Member-only educational and networking events; heightened access to local economic data and insights from EDC’s Center for Regional Analysis; and a menu of new, Member-exclusive Sponsorship opportunities. (Learn more about these updates here.)
