The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority on Wednesday announced the approval of four loans totaling $1.4 million to fuel expansions in Lancaster County.

Garrett E. Weaver, 1501 Eshelman Mill Road, Willow Street, received a $400,000 loan toward constructing a 41,000-square-foot duck finishing building with a capacity of 39,000 birds. The total cost is $1.2 million.

Bellaire Farms, 200 Bellaire Road, Elizabethtown, received a $400,000 loan toward constructing two broiler houses, each 32,000 square feet with a capacity of 36,000 birds. The total project cost is $1.1 million.

Flintrock Farms, 20 E. Brubaker Valley Road, Lititz, received a $400,000 loan toward buying the ownership interest of Daryl and J. Richard Heller. The total project cost is $895,000.

Riverrock Group received a $225,000 loan toward purchasing the real estate and operating assets of Kulp’s Sheet Metal, 161 Zooks Mill Road, Ephrata. The total project cost is $461,000. The project will retain three jobs and create three.

The loans are being obtained through EDC Finance, a Lancaster-based nonprofit that helps area farmers and businesses obtain state and federal financing.
