The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority on Wednesday announced approval of more than $7 million in low-interest loans for eight projects, including three in Lancaster and York counties.

In Lancaster County, the EDC Finance Corporation was awarded a $400,000 loan that allows Maplehofe Dairy Inc. to build a 5,600-square-foot expansion at its store and processing facility in Quarryville.

The project will cost $1.7 million, according to the state Department of Community and Economic Development.

Also in Lancaster County, EDC Finance Corp. was awarded a $187,500 loan to assist a $375,000 project being undertaken by Rhoads Energy Corp. Rhoads will acquire and renovate a nearly 18,000-square-foot building in Lancaster.
